Our story

The Dr Themba Oscar Makhubele Foundation, founded on 23 May 2022 by Rivoningo Gift Mtolo, honours the life of his late father, Dr Themba Oscar Makhubele—a compassionate doctor who served with love, humility, and heart.

Inspired by his father’s words,

“Be kind to people, and God will bless you,”

Rivoningo turned grief into purpose.

What began as a small charity drive in Tshiawelo has grown into a registered non-profit, fully active since 2025, focused on uplifting communities through education, youth empowerment, counselling, and development.

“This is more than a Foundation — it’s a promise to continue his legacy, one life at a time.”

Rivoningo Mtolo

Rivoningo Gift Mtolo is the founder of the Dr Themba Oscar Makhubele Foundation, created in honour of his late father. Inspired by a legacy of kindness and service, Rivoningo leads with compassion, faith, and a deep commitment to uplifting others through education, counselling, and community development.

Lindiwe Mtolo

Lindiwe Lucia Mtolo is the Co-Founder and Treasurer of the Dr Themba Oscar Makhubele Foundation. As a woman of strength, integrity, and deep compassion, she plays a key role in overseeing the Foundation’s finances and helping guide its vision.

A former patient of Dr Themba Oscar Makhubele, and now a trusted family matriarch, Lindiwe brings both personal experience and a heart for service to the leadership of the Foundation. Her commitment to giving back and supporting vulnerable communities continues to inspire those around her.

Jane Gumbi

Jane Gumbi is the Treasurer of the Dr Themba Oscar Makhubele Foundation, responsible for overseeing all financial operations with integrity, accountability, and care. Her role includes managing budgets, ensuring compliance, and supporting the Foundation’s mission through sound financial planning.

A committed leader and trusted team member, Jane brings structure, dedication, and a heart for service to everything she does.
